About CEROBEAR

CEROBEAR GmbH was founded in 1989 as a spin-off from the Fraunhofer- Institute of Production Technology at the Technical University of Aachen, Germany. The foundation for further growth was laid when CEROBEAR moved into its new facility in Herzogenrath near Aachen in 1997.

As of June 30, 2013, all shares of CEROBEAR GmbH were acquired by
New Hampshire Ball Bearings, Inc. (NHBB)
, a member of the global manufacturing conglomerate, Minebea Co., Ltd. As a result of the acquisition, CEROBEAR is now a part of Minebea's NHBB/myonic Business Unit and will operate as an independent subsidiary under NHBB.

Today, CEROBEAR is the leading manufacturer of ceramic rolling bearings and a pioneer in rolling bearing technology. Ceramic rolling bearings are a key product for industries and processes with extreme requirements such as the semiconductor and aerospace industries as well as motor sports. CEROBEAR currently employs around 100 highly skilled technical employees.
